Scandinavian Divers is located on the beautiful tropical island Mindoro, about 150 kilometers - or about 90 miles - south of Manila on the Philippines, far from the noise and smog of the big cities.

Mindoro is one of the last tropical places left on earth that's not yet overrun by tourists. Here you can enjoy the amazing hospitality and warmth of the local population while taking in the diving experiences of a lifetime. All at a surprisingly reasonable cost.

Our dive resort is right at the edge of the water on Big Lalaguna, the most beautiful white sandy beach on Northern Mindoro.

Simple room, no air-con (probably best suited for one person)

Facilities & Amenities

Our equipment is of the highest quality and dependability. It is checked and maintained on a daily basis - often several times each day. The boat equipment is new and specifically tailored for diving. The boat here is of the same type the Philippine Coast Guard uses because of its unusually high stability and reliabílity.

With respect to the people, there is no substitute for experience. Therefore, our instructors, dive masters, and boat crews have from three to twelve years experience, and are recognized as some of the very best on Mindoro. Furthermore, all instructors and dive masters have passed first aid courses and PADI Rescue Diver courses.

We do our best to anticipate anything that might happen. It must be realized, however, that forces of nature play a large role in the world of diving. Even though the risk is minimal, the unexpected might happen. We have, therefore, made detailed emergency plans that are drilled on a regular basis. Furthermore, our boats are in constant radio contact with the resort. In an emergency situation rescuehelicopters can be called in so that injured quickly can be flown to the most qualified medical facility.

Dining: About 100 yards out in the water in front of Sabang is the "Floating Bar" which has Happy Hour from 9 AM to 12 noon. Our brand-new resort has a restaurant, bar, mens and ladies' rooms, an air-conditioned classroom, and of course an area where you can just sit and relax over a game of cards or whatever else you might feel like.
